Who and what we see, follow, compare yourself to, and engage with are critical components to how we perceive our own financial situations...and that has downstream effects on the opportunity we do or do not pursue, risks we should (and shouldn't) take, and decisions we make. Positive or negative outcomes can be shaped by the lens we view our situation with, especially when it comes to comparison to others. There are some great takeaways in this article and thoughts I have from it. We need to act to filter out the noise and strengthen that 'ignore' muscle. Remember that the content that we see is just a sliver of reality. Be realistic with your own picture and what you are trying to to accomplish, short and long term. Don't get distracted. Focus on content and community that raises you up, enriches, and supports you. We don't open other peoples mail, live in their shoes, know the total picture. We need to act with care and empathy for those around us, be optimistic and believing, without being gullible. Life is all about balance and, more and more, it will be a challenge differenting between what's real and what isn't between what's important and what's not. Being out in the real world with real people experiencing real life with all its ups and downs is the best way I can think of to stay positive, healthy, and helpful; to yourself and to others. How we curate serendipity will put a lot of track down to achieving great outcomes and end up where we want to go, even if we don't always know the final destination. Enjoy the journey. https://lnkd.in/eWaD3h77
