BNP Paribas has just made the CDP 2023 Climate Change A-List! In 2023, BNP Paribas received the highest rating (A). It is one of the 346 companies in the world (top 1.5%) and the only major international bank to have this rating, well above the average rating of financial institutions (B), and the average ratings in Europe and worldwide (respectively B and C). This strong improvement from last year, a two-step progression from B to A, comes as a result of the recognition of the commitments made by BNP Paribas, its strategy and actions implemented, and the very significant resources and efforts deployed to redirect financing towards low-carbon projects, with the aim of contributing to a #netzero economy by 2050. On top of our targets: to increase our stock of low-carbon energy production credit exposure to 90% of our total stock of energy production loans, leaving only 10% of fossil fuels. I also want to take this opportunity to share that this year marks our 10th year listed among the world's 100 most sustainable companies by Corporate Knights.
