"I like working for a European company. We have a strong culture of speaking up. We are encouraged to take responsibility. I really appreciate that", says Hsin-Hung (Simon) Chen. Simon has been with SUSS MicroTec for about three and a half years. As Production Manager, he is in charge of manufacturing at the Hsinchu site in Taiwan. Simon is currently leading a major project: The start of production of the XBS300 temporary bonder in Hsinchu. Until now, our Taiwan site has manufactured coaters and UV projection scanners. With demand for temporary bonders booming, driven by the need for AI microchips, Simon and his team are now also busy creating additional temporary bonder production capacity. In the fall, he and about 20 colleagues from Taiwan were in Sternenfels, Germany, to learn how to build the XBS300. The exchange across national borders is also something that Simon really enjoys.
