Housing inflation had to be addressed, and rising #mortgage rates addressed it. One thing though...even a slight decline in prices will not cause the crash and #foreclosure crisis we saw just over a decade ago. This is a VERY different #housing market. I repeat VERY different. Homeowners today are fully underwritten on loans they can afford, home equity is massive, and so the potential for massive underwater mortgages is reeeeeally low. There, I've said my peace.
