New labor laws for private sector workers will come into effect in the UAE starting February 2, 2022, including: ? ? Allowing more flexible work options, such as flexible week/days, as long as employees fulfill their work hours, in agreement with their employer. ??Prohibiting discrimination against employees. ? Lifting legal fees on the employee in case they want to file a labor case against their employer. ??Banning overtime of more than two hours in one day. ??Introducing a paid mourning leave between three to five days. ??Introducing a paternity leave of five days in all emirates. ??Allowing 15 year-olds and above to work after obtaining parental approval.
