Welcome to the neighborhood, Peak JCB! The Peak JCB Dealership is a steel-framed building with metal panels on the exterior. The facility features 4,500 SF office space/parts storage and 6,000 SF shop space. Uniquely, the shop space houses a ten-ton bridge crane for mechanic use. Outside the building, the property has ample yard space for demonstrations and inventory. From the green panels and bright yellow signage, the entire project epitomizes the Peak JCB brand. With the project turned over earlier than expected, the superintendent gives the credit to our trade partners: “We had great trade partners on this project. They just wanted to figure out how to make it work without any drama. They were terrific to partner with.”

Colder weather ushers in the last of summer barbecues. But before then, our Lindon project team expressed their appreciation to their trade partners and local police and firefighters at a barbecue last week.

On this National Day of Service and Remembrance, our project teams and office staff came together to serve the community in various ways, including assembling snack packs for food insecure students, donating needed supplies to refugees and first responders, picking up trash in neighboring parks, providing lunches to our trade partners, and more. Today we honor those we lost on September 11th by working to promote a bright future.

Yesterday Zwick was honored to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Business Building West Addition at Southern Utah University. The ceremony’s motif was “connection,” a theme that resonates with our on-site team, many of whom graduated from SUU. We’re excited to be back on campus to build this important addition.??

Large or small—we’re excited to get to work and turn plans into completed projects. ? In July, our teams broke ground on a new retail space in Lehi, UT that will eventually welcome a Starbucks. This quick project comprises about 2,500 SF of retail space along with corresponding site work. ? Like any other project, the team has identified cost-saving solutions and implemented safe building practices to bring this project smoothly to the finish line.?

As summer comes to a close, our six talented interns are heading back to their respective universities. Today they regrouped to share what they learned from their internships, recommend how Zwick Construction can improve, and ask questions to CEO Darin Zwick. We appreciate each of their contributions and sincerely wish them the best in their studies.

Yesterday we participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new Peak-JCB facility in Salt Lake City, UT. The delivery of this important project represents partnerships among many generations of families—the England family (C.R. England Trucking), the Bamford family (JCB), the Pugh family (Peak JCB Dealership), and finally the Zwick family. Congratulations to each on this exciting project.

While students soak up the last few weeks of summer, they’re also preparing for back to school season. The newly-remodeled Education Building at Utah Tech University features several classrooms, administrative spaces, a study/lounge area, seven instructional kitchen labs, an instructional sewing lab, and a preschool with adjacent playground. Our St. George team finished the project just in time for the 2022 Fall Semester to begin.

As July comes to a close this week, we look back on a month filled with celebrations of country and state. At the same time, Zwick Construction also celebrates the completions of many municipal and public projects we have worked on over the years, including city halls, fire stations, courthouses, and more.
