As kids head back to school, we are excited to announce another donation of our Elkay Manufacturing filtered bottle filling stations. This time to the East Ramapo Central School District in New York where state-mandated testing showed unacceptable levels of lead. ? Lead is highly toxic to children, and even low levels of lead exposure. Thanks to ABC News and Deborah Roberts for highlighting the issue. We believe every student should have access to clean, filtered water and we are happy to make this donation to East Ramapo schools for 20 filtered bottle filling stations and filtered drinking fountains plus a year’s supply of filters. ? ? This invites DECA members to explore and enhance clean drinking water solutions at their schools. Whether it takes too long to fill up a water bottle or the water at a school isn’t filtered, this challenge encourages students to identify drinking water issues and solutions. Submissions are open from September 15 to November 1, 2024. The top teams will be celebrated on DECA Direct Online and at DECA’s International Career Development Conference in Orlando, FL. ?
