At Zuckerman Spaeder LLP, we believe that understanding history is crucial for advancing justice. This month, we had the privilege of hosting Jeffrey Fletcher, the founder of the Ruby and Calvin Fletcher African American History Museum, for an enlightening presentation about his mission to preserve and share Black history. The museum, located in Connecticut, is the first of its kind in the state and showcases a vast collection of artifacts that spans from the Atlantic slave trade to the Jim Crow era. Mr. Fletcher began this project with a collection of items from his mother, Ruby, and the museum has since grown to include over 7,500 pieces. We thank Mr. Fletcher for joining us and for highlighting the value of education in shaping a more equitable future. #BlackHistoryMonth #BlackHistory #Justice

While some courts place a burden on the party resisting discovery, others impose no burden at all. On Zuckerman Spaeder LLP’s blog #InsightZS, associate Kirk MacKinnon Morrow explores this divide that has significant implications for cross-border litigation.
