The recent The Wall Street Journal article, "How Zero Trust Makes Your Enterprise Invisible to Hackers" explores how by eliminating public-facing network infrastructure, businesses can prevent attacks before they begin. “Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange serves as a security proxy, like an intelligent digital switchboard that verifies the identity, posture and context of every connection before securely stitching together users and applications. This eliminates the need for public IPs and makes the company invisible to the internet." - Nikhil Narvekar of Graphic Packaging International, LLC Learn how Zero Trust strategies are reshaping cybersecurity for the future → https://bit.ly/41QKH1L #ZeroTrustEverywhere

#zscaler #CISO #NextGenSecurity #DataProtection #SecureAccess Frédéric Pascalon Florian Beauvais Olivier Godin Reda Nedjar Ivan Rogissart Lydia Ouzerdine Mathieu Tourisseau Johann Paumier OUSMANE GADIO Abdel Mokadem Julien Boulnois Stephane Hervy Rym Sullivan Riad NASSOU Rob Sloan Paul Hennin Adrien Berot Liat Shentser

?? Public sector organisations across Greater Asia are increasingly targeted by encrypted attacks, with ransomware affecting everything from government agencies to smaller public service providers. As cybercriminals adapt and innovate, it’s critical for public sector leaders to stay vigilant. In Zscaler’s latest ThreatLabz report, we explore how the public sector can prepare for the future of encrypted threats, including: 1?? The rise of #GenAI will drive encrypted attacks. 2?? Cybercriminals will archive encrypted communications for future post-quantum decryption. 3?? Abuse of legitimate cloud services will accelerate encrypted attack growth. 4?? Advanced persistent threat (APT) groups will focus on encrypted channels. 5?? Encrypted command-and-control (C2) activity will become harder to detect. ?? Stay ahead of threats. The Department of Education, Victoria is responsible for securing over 1,600 public schools while supporting hybrid work for 7,000 corporate staff. Their existing MPLS network lacked the scalability and cloud integration needed for modern learning demands, with legacy firewalls unable to sufficiently protect against evolving threats. This limited their ability to deliver faster, more reliable internet access for students and teachers. Hear from Matthew Stokeld, Director Information Technology Services, as he shares how the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange provided a scalable, cloud-first solution. The result? Safer, streamlined connectivity and reduced administrative overhead across Victoria’s schools. https://spklr.io/6042fX1i #ZeroTrustEverywhere #ZCloudCollective

ThreatLabz has discovered a new sophisticated malware threat that we have named #CoffeeLoader. The malware is a loader that implements numerous stealthy techniques to evade antivirus and EDRs via call stack spoofing, sleep obfuscation, and Windows fibers. The malware is also protected using a packer that leverages GPU code to thwart sandboxes and virtual environments. On the network side, CoffeeLoader implements a custom encrypted binary protocol, uses a DGA as a backup channel, and performs certificate pinning to prevent TLS introspection. CoffeeLoader is currently being distributed through #SmokeLoader and the two share some interesting behavioral similarities. #cybersecurity #zerotrust Read our full technical analysis here: https://lnkd.in/ge75gsFw
