First pitch for the Los Angeles Dodgers Dodgers 2025 season was at 3AM LA time for the Tokyo Series, so social media content was key for keeping stateside fans engaged. The Dodgers content while in Japan earned 165M impressions and 8.3M engagments for $7.7M worth of social value, which was 145% more exposure, 219% more engagement and 294% more social value than the same time frame for last year's Seoul Series. They also generated over 25M logo impressions and $60K in social value for Tokyo Series and jersey patch sponsor Guggenheim Partners. #mlb #baseball #sponsorship #tokyoseries #japan #sportsbiz

In today's on-demand content world, live sports stands as the last true frontier of appointment viewing – consistently delivering massive, predictable audiences that simply can't be replicated elsewhere in media. This unique position makes sports broadcasting rights increasingly valuable, with networks and advertisers paying premium prices to access these live viewers. The resulting economic pressure forces a critical evolution. As broadcasters pay record sums for rights, and brands accelerate their investment into sports sponsorships, maximizing return on these investments becomes existential. This is why measurement and optimization tools like Zoomph have become mission-critical — they transform what was once subjective brand exposure into quantifiable metrics that directly impact negotiation leverage, pricing models, and strategic decision-making throughout the sports business value chain. While AI stands to disrupt or even displace many industries, sports is uniquely positioned to be enhanced by AI technologies. Proud to see Sequence Equity invest in Zoomph, whose AI-powered analytics platform exemplifies this trend – helping teams, leagues, and brands measure and maximize their sponsorship investments in an era where every marketing dollar must work harder than ever before.
