The Zionsville Education Foundation (ZEF) recently awarded Fall Classroom Grants totaling $42,512.42 to 23 Zionsville Community Schools educators. These 12 grants will benefit students at every level and bring to life projects in every discipline including literacy, STEM, social sciences, wellness, and the arts. They provide elementary students with quality musical instruments, books for third grade enrichment, 3D printing equipment for middle school students, cutting-edge lab equipment for high school science students, and the Zionsville Community High School S.O.A.R.S. program with equipment for job-skill training and entrepreneurial endeavors. These and other grants funded will give ZCS students new ways to explore the curriculum for years to come. We appreciate ZEF and our supportive community. #zcsnation

First-grade students at Pleasant View Elementary School recently welcomed their "Grandfriends" for a special visit. Kids loved showing off their classrooms. Some Grandfriends shared fond memories of their own elementary school days. This special day demonstrates the beauty of bringing generations together to share with one another. Excited Eagle Elementary students gathered for the eagerly-awaited ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the official opening of their new playground. Students were finally able to explore and enjoy the play space they have been watching take shape. This is our ZCS school community! #zcsnation

Meet Chloe Montague-Himmell, a Zionsville Community High School student who made an incredible difference by stopping to help during a serious car accident on I-70. Chloe's quick thinking and fluency in Spanish assisted EMS in providing care to those injured, especially the children. Thank you, Chloe, for your courage, compassion, and willingness to step up and use what you have learned when it mattered the very most. #zcsnation
