A big milestone for Cleo Parker Robinson Dance! The Center for the Healing Arts has topped out, bringing this vibrant new community space one step closer to reality.? ?? Martin/Martin's civil and structural engineering team joins in celebrating this collaborative achievement, with team members posing here with Cleo Parker Robinson, founder and artistic director.? ?? This transformative project will enrich Denver's cultural landscape with new studios, a theater, and educational spaces, made possible by the dedicated efforts of an exceptional project team.? ?? Bravo to project partners: Fentress Architects (architect), Mortenson (contractor), and each team member who brought this vision to life!?

We’re excited to unveil photos of the recently completed Arvada Aquatics Center!?? Here’s a glimpse of this incredible facility! The AAC is a result of a collaborative partnership between the City of Arvada, Apex Park and Recreation District, and Jeffco Public Schools. Designed by OLC, the 50,000 sf facility serves as a regional hub for both competitive and recreational aquatic activities. With features like a 10-lane, 50-meter competition pool and a warm-water therapeutic pool, the AAC meets the needs of diverse users while prioritizing accessibility through universal changing rooms and ramp access. Its design balances functionality and inclusivity, creating a regional hub for aquatic programs and competitions. Sustainability is at the core of the AAC, aiming for LEED Silver certification. Energy-efficient systems like regenerative media filters and sustainable materials such as precast concrete reduce environmental impact and operational costs. Innovative techniques, including tele-belt backfill and scaffold systems, further minimize the ecological footprint, ensuring long-term efficiency. Beyond its walls, the AAC serves as an economic and recreational hub. With a world-class competition pool, seating for 800 spectators, and inclusive programming for therapy, instruction, and recreation, it fosters community engagement while setting a benchmark for sustainable, accessible design nationwide.
