A 25% Tariff on Steel Imported to the US is incoming. What does this mean for your next warehouse storage solution project? ? ?? Even though most rack manufacturers in the US procure their steel coils domestically, there are many other industries that buy their steel internationally. This tariff will bring an increased demand for domestic steel as multiple industries are now forced into domestic steel procurement, all leading to a jump in the supply and demand curve. The severity and timing of these tariffs is still to be determined but this past week we already witnessed steel increases of 3-6%.
