As a former member of the Appellate Section at the Dallas County District Attorney's Office in Dallas, Burleson understands the complexities of appellate practice from the front lines. Burleson also serves as an adjunct professor at UNT College of Law showcasing his strong understanding of the law and his ability to effectively communicate and educate others on complex legal issues. His addition to the team at Ziegler Gardner Bell shows the firm's ongoing commitment to finding and keeping the best legal talent to serve its clients.

As we begin the new year, it is a pleasure to announce one of our newest team members, Kathryn Warmoth. Our team at ZGB has successfully defended designers against contractors in major lawsuits involving massive design-build infrastructure projects and some of the world’s largest companies where hundreds of millions of dollars are at stake. As reported by ENR today, these lawsuits are becoming common: “Similar lawsuits have been common between contractors and designers on large design-build infrastructure projects begun years ago. The prime contractors, sometimes in joint venture with a designer, fix a firm guaranteed price based on 30% to 50% of the design by the owner.
