Retrofitting Propulsion Systems: A Practical Path Forward for Zero Emissions Dr. Joe Pratt, CEO of ZEI, captured it perfectly: “It is far more environmentally meaningful, immediate, and economically feasible to retrofit existing vehicles and vessels than to scrap them and manufacture entirely new ones. By demonstrating a technically and commercially viable pathway for conversion, we’ve opened the door for every independent vehicle repair shop and boatyard to help their customers transition to zero emissions.” Consider the scale: in the U.S. alone, 13.5 million commercial trucks are on the road, with only about 500,000 new trucks sold annually. Most of these vehicles have been in service for decades. We are extremely excited to announce Zero Emission Industries's participation at?Zero Emission Bus Resource Alliance (ZEBRA) in Las Vegas last week.?Aydin Manouchehri and?Carter Andereck presented our newest product, FTcase, to over 20 different?transit agencies across the United States. This was a wonderful?event that paired transit leaders with valuable vendors that can aid in the adoption of zero-emission technologies. We were extremely proud to be considered a valuable vendor and greatly appreciate the time from all our attendees.?
