Presence Protocol: How we're building the future of social commerce for 316 million ambitious expat professionals across the globe
In today's world, social connections drive commerce, and we're on the verge of a major shift in how things are done. Over the past five months, our team at Zero Code Labs — which was formed from the merger of Presence App and Zero Code — has been working hard to develop a new product strategy. This has led to the creation of the Presence Protocol, a SocialFi protocol that forms the basis of our platform and will soon be available for integration with other services.
From the very beginning, the Web 3 space has been missing consumer-oriented products that address real-world problems. It's mostly been made up of infrastructure projects and tools designed for crypto enthusiasts. We're taking a big step by creating a hybrid Web 2.5 experience that uses the benefits of blockchain while keeping the user interface simple and user-friendly. Our solution is designed for users who don't have any crypto knowledge or experience. Given our extensive background in consumer and social applications, we're delivering a product that's truly designed for everyday people and easy to use.
Presence Protocol is a blockchain-based SocialFi platform that connects local businesses with high-earning expat professionals. It's hard for 316 million internationals to find local services when they move, while local merchants miss out on these high-net-worth customers. Our platform uses AI-driven recommendations and geolocation to connect users with local businesses through a seamless, tokenized marketplace. The protocol introduces a concept called Earn As You Discover.
We've made a lot of progress over this period, including the development and testing of the smart contracts. What's really interesting is our approach to tokenomics. We've used some pretty advanced methods inspired by computational fluid dynamics to make sure our economic model is robust and accurate.
We've also introduced the first version of the Presence protocol in the Presence app, which we've tested for six weeks, both internally and in a public beta. The protocol is now live on the mainnet, which means users can discover, collect, and redeem offers from local merchants. For merchants, it's an easy way to advertise and drive sales without having to be a digital marketing expert.
We're kicking off our pilot program in Dubai with the first 100 merchants ready to launch their offers. We've gotten some great feedback so far, and we're starting to see traction not just locally, but globally, with new offers popping up in places as diverse as the Netherlands and Australia.
We're committed to making the most of the Presence protocol to give our users and partners the best experience possible. As expats ourselves, we're building for people like us. We'll be sharing more detailed updates in the coming weeks as we continue to build and gather insights from our growing community.
