We’ve heard how awkward it can be to go through screens one by one, hunting for comments, trying to make sure you’re on top of everything. Well, fear not. You can now easily access all the comments across all the screens in the project. 2?? Next up, Zeplin now keeps track of all the comments you’ve read — more importantly, it highlights the comments that you haven’t read yet. ??? When you combine unread comments with the new comments panel, it serves as your personal to-do list within Zeplin. 3?? We also have “one more thing”: We launched a new Figma widget (we call it Zeplin Digest) that gives you insights right inside your Figma canvas. ??? You can see which frames you’ve exported to Zeplin and when, see if anyone commented on them, open them in Zeplin in one click — and so on. … Well, unwary adventurers, if you want to learn more, the link for the blog post is down in the comments. Since then we listened, talked to a bunch of you, understood where we needed to make improvements, and here we are: Approvals 2.0.

This week, we decided to allocate 6 weeks where the whole crew will work on improving Zeplin’s performance — but we had a problem: We didn’t have enough data to prioritize what to work on. Over the years, lots of people wrote in and said they were having performance issues here and there — but we just didn’t have enough detail. So, what do we do? ?? We quickly put together an in-app survey, targeting active users. We kept it super simple, on purpose: Are you having performance issues? If yes, here’s a list of common issues, please pick one. It’s not a separate link, not an email, just a simple list of options in the app that you select from. We launched it 24 hours ago and we already have????????????????? ???? ??????????????????!?What’s even better is that people who interact with the survey, they are now aware that we’re working on this, so they’re more likely to respond when we reach out and ask for more detail. Be open about what you’re working on, and don’t hesitate to ask for input publicly — as long as you’re not being annoying. ??
