We dedicated the last 6 weeks to performance improvements. Here’s what we just rolled out: → Figma exports are now up to 10× faster → Project dashboard now loads significantly faster → Inspecting designs is now smoother and more responsive — even on large screens We know performance isn’t a one-and-done deal. We’ll keep monitoring, listening, and improving as we go. We’ve been testing these improvements internally and so far we’re are very happy with the results. I'm sorry but I have to react to this! A designer at Figma spends a bunch of time manually prepping handoff docs, creating page after page and manually versioning them — and people are thinking, "Wow, this is brilliant". The post below is an interview with a designer at Figma, where she talks about how she preps her files for devs. Honestly, I'm impressed by the things she cared about: ? Clear separation of what’s ready and what’s in progress — yes, this matters! ? Clear versioning between iterations — matters a ton! ? Clear organization of designs — oh, yes! She’s done it all, but here’s the thing: this process involved hours (perhaps days) of manual effort, which feels different from the direction design workflows are moving. It’s kind of wild — this reminds me of 10 years ago when we used to redline designs in PDFs. Zeplin is built for this stuff! This is why thousands of Figma designers use Zeplin! Separating ready-to-build designs, versioning automatically, organizing and adding context — all in minutes, and more importantly, all in a standardized way. I don't want to dismiss all the effort she's put in — in fact, it's awesome to see how dedicated she is. But your time is better spent solving problems, instead of prepping files.
