Last month, we made a bold move to change that by introducing outcome-based pricing for our AI-driven customer support software. Here’s how it works: Instead of charging businesses based on how often they use our AI chatbot, we now only charge when the AI resolves a customer’s issue autonomously, without needing human intervention. Why the shift? As Nikhil Sane, our Senior VP of Revenue Acceleration, recently told Jon Victor: “Just because I used your service doesn’t mean I got value.” In a time when businesses are scrutinizing their AI investments, it’s not enough for software to simply be used—it must produce tangible results. We believe this approach better aligns with the needs of the modern enterprise. AI is set to automate certain tasks reliably, reducing the need for traditional seat-based subscription models that have defined enterprise software for decades. It’s time to evolve.
