Zane Access Alum News Congrats to Zane Access Cohort 6 Alum?Dedren Snead, whom the Ford Foundation selected as one of the 2024 Global Fellows. Dedren Snead is a computer scientist, artist, and educator from Atlanta, Georgia. He is the founder of Subsume, a technology studio that utilizes gaming and artificial intelligence to create solutions to social inequalities and expand access to education for young people from underrepresented communities. The Ford Global Fellowship is a $50 million, 10-year investment that aims to connect and support the next generation of leaders from around the world who are advancing innovative solutions to end inequality. Our flagship international fellowship focuses on shared learning across issues, building and strengthening connections across borders, and developing a supportive, interconnected cohort across a wide variety of sectors. Our hope is that the fellowship will catalyze and amplify the impact of these fellows’ work, both individually and collectively. #founder #education #underrepresented #opportunity

Women founders primarily represent the Zane Venture Fund portfolio and the Zane Access? alum community. Women have overwhelmingly entrusted us with supporting them in their capital readiness journey, and we couldn't be more proud to provide them with a vetted curriculum designed to increase their chances of a successful fundraiser. Our mission is clear: providing capital readiness education and capital to underfunded entrepreneurs. Our lane is focused, and we have remained consistent with this since our start in 2019, when we had our first-ever program in #NYC. Congrats to cohort 7 on their graduation! We are so proud of the founders who joined us for our intense accelerated program. We delivered the compcomprehensive financial and legal information needed for startups and small businesses. Our partners at Thompson Hine LLP hosted our final day and luncheon with our community partners. We are thankful to to the dividuals for joining the founders to share other important initiatives and programs in the city. From investors to ecosystem builders, the business owners received firfirst-handnformation on how to work with these organizations while continuing their founder journey. Where are the Builders “The house analogy works in more ways than one: Mistakes happen, and estimates that are flat-out wrong are pretty common. No one expects a contractor to predict the future with absolute certainty; weather delays, supply issues and other unforeseen events can always throw a wrench in the works. However, a good contractor will have a plan, a schedule and contingency measures in place. When it comes to startups, looking over the plans and poking holes at it is what’s called “doing due diligence.” Startup founders can’t foresee every market fluctuation or challenge, but they can and should outline their goals, strategies and how they plan to overcome potential obstacles.
