The first semester of ADVANCE has concluded successfully. Throughout the semester, members have transformed datasets using Excel, PowerBI, AI Optimization, and Python to uncover valuable business insights. Matt Biddle presented his work this Monday, sharing insights into stock performance for companies that were top gainers in the market. For his project, Matt developed a Python script to extract the data and analyzed it through a dynamic dashboard created with PowerBI. A special thanks to John Correia, Steverson Brian, and Sahan Fernando for attending the presentation and providing invaluable feedback. We’re excited to continue growing and improving ADVANCE next semester, and we look forward to more impactful projects like this!

Welcome to the Arizona Diamondbacks project, Zags Business+Tech! This semester, GSCG has partnered with the talented tech consultants at ZBT to dive into streaming data from D-backs.TV. Zag Business + Tech will step up this project by bringing in advanced tech solutions, leveraging data analytics tools, and offering fresh perspectives that will refine our approach. Their technical expertise will allow us to better identify key patterns and trends, ensuring we deliver high-quality, data-driven strategies for the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Gonzaga University - School of Business Administration offers a wide range of exceptional student groups, and GSCG’s dedication to the quality and high standards of our work played a key role in driving this collaboration. Zag Business + Tech have quickly made a name for themselves at Gonzaga University as ambitious and forward-thinking. We’re excited to welcome them to the team and are eager to see what we can achieve together.

Huge thank you to Bryce Parsons for coming and speaking! Bryce spoke about the fundamentals of product development and design, leaving everyone with a greater understanding of the different roles at play and the critical thinking that takes place. Our students learned various fundamental PowerBI skills from preparing data to writing power queries, measures, and more.
