Our Early Learning Academy had a very special guest—Chanel H. Frazier, Founder & CEO of CHF Ventures, and most recently, Head of BlackRock Atlanta. Aisha Taymur was an Egyptian social activist, poet, novelist, and feminist in the Ottoman era of Egypt. Taymur’s work of fiction, social commentary and poetry was used to expand the definition of the nation-building process to include women of different social classes, ethnic groups, generations, and nationalities. #WomensHistoryMonth #ONEYWCA

Special thanks to Patrick Smith for recommending our partnership and to Taylor Johnson, Krystal Middleton, and the entire UPS team for organizing such a meaningful day. And of course, gratitude to Jhanai Y. Gates Gates, YWCA Greater Atlanta Advocacy Coordinator, for sharing insights on period poverty, and Zenya Udwadia, our Volunteer and Events Manager, for working closely with the UPS team to make this possible. This past weekend, our ENCOREplus program partnered with Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta, Inc. to provide free mammograms to 17 women without health insurance. Ensuring access to life-saving screenings is a vital part of our commitment to breast health education and early detection. Congratulations to 13 of our incredible YWCA Greater Atlanta teachers for earning their Child Development Associate (CDA) certification! The CDA is a nationally recognized credential that represents dedication, knowledge, and excellence in early childhood education. To achieve this milestone, our teachers completed 120 hours of education training and 480 hours of hands-on experience working with children from birth to age five. This certification strengthens their ability to provide high-quality learning experiences, ensuring that every child in our care gets the strong start they deserve. We are so proud of their commitment to professional growth and to the children and families they serve every day! ??
