February 11 is International Day of Women and Girls in Science and YWCA NCA is celebrating important role women and girls play in science and technology spaces all over the world. #IDWGIS promotes equal access in STEM fields and recognizes the women and girls who are working as change agents in STEM. #ONEYWCA #YWCAInspires

Over the last two Saturdays, we stood alongside migrant families facing unimaginable uncertainty. More than 200 participants joined our Building Safe Communities: Protection and Education Workshop, gaining vital knowledge about their rights, family preparedness, and adapting to life in a new country. We witnessed something powerful—parents who arrived carrying fear and uncertainty left with hope, knowledge, and a plan to protect their children. They connected with legal experts, learned how to respond in difficult situations, and found a supportive community that truly sees them. No child should have to memorize what to say if their parent is taken away. No family should have to live in fear of separation. At YWCA NCA, we remain committed to standing by these families, offering them the resources and support they need to build a safer future.
