After four years of diligent efforts and planning, construction of a new, three-story Children's Learning Academy for children ages 1-12 years old has begun! The generous and exceptional support of community donors during the Major Gift portion of our Capital Campaign has propelled us to reach nearly 90% of raising $11.8million.?The Public Phase of the Capital Campaign beginning March 31 will accept donations to help us reach our final goal. The new Children’s Learning Academy will be equipped with 12 classrooms to provide all day education and care for up to 225 children as well as critical support for working families in our community.?The building will feature specialized rooms such as a sensory room, STEM lab, large art/music/theater room, teacher relaxation/planning lounges, expansive kitchen, and outdoor education center to name a few.?YWCA Hanover will be accepting registration for children to attend the new academy starting in June 2025 and teacher employment applications are open immediately. https://lnkd.in/dhs7N__B The original YWCA facility built in 1978 will also be renovated to enable growth of mission programs and events, large spaces for community members and groups, administrative functions, and more.
