Starting Wake Rats as a "resume booster" has looked a little like this: 30+ vendor markets and Wake competitions, collaborating with over 20 college wake clubs, and partnering with Waco Surf on a shirt for their shop. Hosting markets, managing 3 retail accounts, and handling order fulfillment, logistics, and customer service. Additionally, my involvement in 10 news stories, social media marketing, and membership in the Greater Waco Chamber demonstrate my love for #supportinglocal. Designing clothes, organizing product photo shoots, and managing product descriptions showcase my creative mind and entrepreneurial spirit. Considering the depth of my experiences at only 23 years old, it's reasonable to say that my time at Wake Rats has provided me with at least "an extra 2-3 years of experience"...right? ?? Oh yeah, I met Diplo, Tony Hawk, Jamie O'Brien, and the King brothers while wearing Skate Rats. Did I mention Erik Coston wears my Waco Surf x Skate Rats collab shirt with over 1 million social media followers!

Wow, I started Wake Rats as a fun hobby while I was still in college, crazy to see how much we have grown over the years! Stoked for what is next.

Being in Waco for almost 5 years now, I have started to lean into the "Wild Waconess" cowboy vibe. Originally coming from the waves of the west coast, Malibu, I was influenced by Jeff Spicoli, Vans, and anything vintage surf. #Supportinglocal for me in Waco looks a little like this. Ever since joining the Greater Waco Chamber in 2021 as the (first-ever enrolled Baylor University student/youngest member), I have been able to host vendor markets featuring college kids all over Waco at different local businesses, start and grow my own company, and design some EPIC shirts to help elevate local businesses!
