?? Highlights from the Swiss Medical Students Convention 2024 in Basel!?? We are thrilled that we were able to showcase our association and engage with aspiring surgeons from across the country! ?? Presenting YSSA at the Project Fair We introduced our visions and activities through a short presentation and our booth at the Project Fair. Students had the chance to explore our materials – including suture kits and a laparoscopic trainer prototype – and get to know our dedicated team! ?? Stent placement workshop? On Saturday, we hosted two interactive workshops in collaboration with BIOTRONIK, where medical students practised the skill of stent placement under professional guidance. It was an amazing experience for students to get some hands-on action.? ?? Suturing Workshop for All Levels Sunday morning, we led a suturing workshop tailored to every need, from beginners to advanced students alike. This session allowed participants to acquire new skills and improve existing ones with personalized guidance, bringing future surgeons one step closer to mastering this essential technique. ? ?? Exciting Highlights from the SCS Annual Congress! ?? We are thrilled to share our experience at the Swiss College of Surgeons Annual Congress, where we proudly represented the Young Surgical Students Association - Switzerland. This pivotal event brought together surgeons, industry leaders, and enthusiasts to discuss the future of surgery, and we were honored to voice the interests of medical students and aspiring surgeons. ?? Workshop Achievement We organized the first-ever workshop at the SCS Congress led by medical students! Our Wound Management Course offered a comprehensive 4-hour session, combining theoretical insights with extensive practical experience, including suturing. This course exemplified our mission: students organizing courses for students. ?? Showcasing Our Association At our stand, we engaged in enriching discussions about surgical education and training. We connected with attendees from across Switzerland, fostering relationships with those who share our dedication to advancing surgical education for medical students. ?? A heartfelt thank you !
