Be still!’ Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.”—Mark 4:39 During a threatening storm, Jesus lay asleep while His disciples sat wide awake, fearful of being capsized. In their fear, the disciples woke Jesus up, asking if He cared that they might drown. Jesus revealed His power over creation by rebuking the wind and commanding the waters to be still. In this moment, Jesus invited His disciples to trust Him, even during the storm. We want you to consider this today: Jesus calmed the storm with one command. How much more peace can He bring to any chaos we may face? When life’s storms become too much, let His presence be your calm.
