RECRUITING TAs FOR IYNA SUMMER COURSE! Have you ever noticed how hard it is to get into Neuroscience? Do you think everyone deserves the chance to learn it? The IYNA is holding our Introduction to Neuroscience courses (I and II) for the 5th year in a row – a unique opportunity for high-school students to learn about the brain from passionate volunteer educators and neuroscientists. The program will run online for over six weeks across June and July this year. We're looking for teaching assistants – volunteer educators who are experienced in learning or practicing neuroscience. As a TA, you'll guide your team of students through the material with assignments and recitations (live reviews of the lectures). The Head TA and Deputy Head TA will be there to support you, and you'll gain invaluable experience in teaching and communicating the most cerebral content that STEM has to offer. If you want to be a part of inspiring the next generation's neuroscientists, click here (https://lnkd.in/eyJVXR9S) to open the application form. And if you have any questions, check out our FAQ (https://lnkd.in/eVrnnw27), or get in touch with the Head TA, Morgan ([email protected]).

We, at the International Youth Neuroscience Association, are thrilled to have successfully completed the Brain Bee Bootcamp 2025, in collaboration with the International Brain Bee. Over the course of four weekends, we hosted an engaging and enriching experience - filled with lectures, neuroscience quizzes and enriching skill sessions. Participants from across the globe joined us, as we explored topics ranging from neurohistology and neuroanatomy dissection to patient diagnosis training for neurological disorders. To keep things fun and engaging, we also included neuroscience-related ice-breakers like Scattegories and Taboo! The two sessions per day ensured that participants across all time zones had an opportunity to join. The previous Brain Bee champions joined our sessions to share their insights, tips and experiences, while answering all the questions that our participants had. A huge thanks to all the speakers who made time to be a part of this event. Your insightful sessions helped make the Bootcamp a truly memorable experience for everyone involved. Our goal was to spark curiosity, build knowledge and prepare participants for the upcoming Brain Bee competition, all while fostering a sense of community in the world of neuroscience. We hope everyone had a great time, gained valuable insights and feels inspired to continue their journey in neuroscience. It was a joy working with this incredible organizing team. Ionut Gabriel Dumitru, Ph.D., Jiya Mody, Rishi Suresh, Jacob U. Best of luck to all participants gearing up for the next edition of the Brain Bee! Until next year, signing off. Dr Bindu Menon, Elizabeth Engler-Chiurazzi, Ph.D., Vasudha Kulkarni, Lauren Bojarski, D.O., Jennifer Hotzman, Dr. Avi Singh, Lucy Core, Ian Stevens, Jeanelle Ariza Torres, Sarika Mutyala, Chun Hei Tai, Julia Nakoneczna, Dev Desai, Morgan Prather, Reese Chadwick.
