Last week, our outreach team wrapped up another one Youth Beat’s summer recruitment season at Castlemont High School. We connected with students eager to explore storytelling, media, and production — and they got hands-on with our Sony cameras to try it out for themselves. ?? Staff Spotlight: Jalil Burton | Creative Director, YouthBeat Jalil Butron joined YouthBeat in December 2021 and has been an unstoppable force ever since. As our Creative Director and the lead of our YB Pro division, he’s committed to helping young creatives turn their passions into real-world careers. With a background in psychology from San Diego State, Jalil’s journey took him from recruiting in Shanghai to directing video content for global brands like Dyson, GQ, and Michelin. Now based in California, he’s using his commercial, documentary, and corporate filmmaking experience to uplift the next generation of storytellers. Fun fact: He goes by Lito or Lili—and yes, we use both.
