?? Introducing J'Mayne and The Athlete's Journey! ?? We are thrilled to introduce J'Mayne, our Lead Program Coordinator, who is kicking off an exciting new initiative for YMC mentees: The Athlete's Journey! This 6-month program is designed to support athletic youth by focusing on both athletic development and the mental and emotional growth that comes with it. The program is broken down into 12 stages, each highlighting key skills in athletic performance, while also providing space to explore what’s showing up mentally and emotionally in the lives of our youth. The Athlete's Journey will challenge you, but it will also be incredibly rewarding—and our mentors will be right there with you every step of the way. PATH OF LIFE Whether you are from Brentwood or Brazil, a morning person or a night owl, classical or cumbia, we all share something in common: the human experience. We may never walk in the exact same shoes as anyone else, but we have all experienced moments of triumph, heartbreak, and times when we needed to know we were not alone. As our mentors and mentees continue to navigate through awkward silences, laughter, and learning about each other’s quirks, we ask: What were those defining moments that made you who you are, and who do you want to become? We share our paths of life in the hopes of finding connection. We are so honored and humbled by the courage our community demonstrated in the OFY 2 and SEED programs as they allowed us to see those defining moments during our Path of Life session. One simple message: You are not alone.
