As we begin the journey through the evolution of policies, this foundational era paved the way to mark children and youth as distinct actors in policymaking. ?? Key milestones: ??Adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989) ??Launch of the 1st International Youth Year (1985) The introduction of these policies laid the foundation for more inclusive policies, pushing for more youth engagement. Working Together for transparent and peaceful elections in C?te d’Ivoire ?????? Three days ago, we had the honour of supporting the organisation of? the Round Table on “Elections - synergies and complementarities in early warning, election observation, awareness-raising, and civic education.” Co-organised by the European Union and the Ivorian authorities, this event brought together key stakeholders such as Belmonde Dogo (Minister of National Cohesion, Solidarity, and the Fight Against Poverty) and the Ambassador to the European Union Francesca Di Mauro to coordinate efforts for the upcoming electoral cycle. ??? In the words of the EU Ambassador : "With the start of a new electoral cycle, the European Union is committed to supporting C?te d'Ivoire in this key process, promoting transparent, credible, and peaceful elections. This round table aims to foster collaboration, avoid duplication, and identify gaps to ensure a more effective approach to elections."
