    Community Veterinary Partners (CVP) is a network of over 3,000 veterinary care providers across the US. After breaking ties with their old agency, CVP lost ownership and access to all 125 of their websites. CVP wanted a transparent and flexible partner that would allow them full ownership of and access to their assets. That’s where Youtech came in.

    When it comes to marketing, you can't be afraid to try something "out there." Sometimes doing something weird, quirky, and unconventional is exactly what it takes to get people engaging. Recently, Duo Lingo killed off its mascot, Duo. Cause of death? Hit by a Tesla Cyber Truck. Bizarre as this campaign was, it leaned into one of the language learning app's greatest strengths: its ability to harness popular culture and make its audience look. On the day of Duo's "death", the app saw its highest number of iOS downloads globally this year and active Android users jumped 25% year over year worldwide.

    Back in January, Google released a new SEO update that may be affecting your business. This change, targeted at local rankings, is being called the Diversity Update by the SEO community. In short, if your business appears in the map for a given search query, your organic search listing further down the page may be removed. Overall, not great news for any businesses doing well enough to maintain both spots. Why We Hate This: We're all about securing as much "real estate" on the Search Engine Results page (SERP) as possible. The more times you show up for any given search query, the higher the chance that a user will choose you. This change effectively eliminates a core component of this strategy. The Good News: Thankfully, the good news is twofold. 1) This change doesn't seem to affect everyone. You might not even be affected at all. 2) There's a pretty easy workaround. Just change the URL on your Google Business Profile to something different than the page that's also ranking for the term. Both will then rank again. We'll keep you posted with further changes to the SERP as we know more, but for now, you can stay up to date with all of Google's past SEO updates here.
