As a first time HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition attendee here are my top tips to maximize your experience: 1. Plan out your week based on your current and future goals. There are hundreds of sessions, booths and events and you cannot attend them all, so early planning is key. 2. Get your networking and evening event tickets early. They will sell out. Some of the best parts of this conference was the after hours networking. Everyone was willing to learn about and connect with you because your network is truly your networth. 3. Although most people have cards, the favorite way to connect was through LinkedIn. Make sure that your page is optimized, updated and ready to go! So glad to have my friend Ashley Pugh, MSHI, RN, CPHIMS, CHTS with me who introduced me to so many people. I met so many amazing nurses doing great work and growing in the tech space. Most importantly I walked away with some valuable resources and information that I plan to execute on!
