Are you looking for a change in your work culture? We're seeking compassionate therapists to join our team!
关于我们
By design, we interact with our environment and discover what we enjoy and who is best suited to join us as we encounter new experiences. Our behaviors, thoughts, feelings, and actions shape the story of our lives and affect how we interact with our environment. Sometimes, circumstances or conditions interrupt those experiences, or story, which can result in pain, sadness, anger, confusion, and disruption to our routine. The story of your experiences is sometimes simple and may, at other times, be complex. Regardless of what's happening in the current chapter of your life, it is shaped by the chapters before it and will influence how you navigate the journey of your story once this chapter concludes. In supporting our clients in improving the interactions between their experiences and their current circumstance, we hope to share in their discovery of how to craft their next chapter. The foundation of our work with clients is rooted in evidence-based practices, confidentiality, a comfortable environment in which to discover their story, and empathy. We also recognize that the best methods for support are as unique to each client as is their story, so we afford our clients the flexibility to work at a pace that balances their needs and level of comfort with clear and measurable objectives.

"If you are old enough to love, you are old enough to grieve." - Alan D. Wolfelt, PhD We understand that children's grief is unique. Children need the opportunity to talk about their loved one, feel, and learn how to feel better. Creating a safe community with other children helps normalize intense feelings and nurtures connection. Through stories, games, and art therapy, our grief camp creates a space for grieving children to honor their feelings and their memories. #mentalhealth #childrensmentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #emotionalhealth #griefandlosssupport #griefandloss #griefjourney #griefsupportforkids

This May, for Mental Health Awareness Month, we are continuing to #TalkAwayTheDark! This campaign has educated people across the country on how to spot the warning signs for suicide and begin a conversation that lets someone who needs support know that help is available. Our message provides guidance on how to connect someone to help when they feel hesitant to receive support, shares how to validate the fears and feelings of a person in crisis, lets them know you hear them, and reassures them there is no shame in getting support for a matter involving their health. Connecting a person in crisis to help is a necessary step in suicide prevention –– and one that can save a life. Help us #TalkAwayTheDark: afsp.org/TalkAwayTheDark
