Participants can run, walk, or cycle as part of a relay team. It’s a powerful symbol of unity and patriotism, with the flag traveling through various states and communities. ???Bataan Memorial Death March:?Held annually at White Sands Missile Range, this event honors the heroic Servicemembers who endured the grueling 65-mile march during World War II. ??♀?Spartan Races: Team RWB partners with Spartan to encourage members to participate in these challenging obstacle races. Members can test their physical and mental limits while representing the team. Free race bibs are often available for participants, making it accessible for all. ?? Local Events:?These include a variety of activities like rugged backpacking, canoeing, and community service projects. Local chapters organize events that help Veterans explore new interests, build camaraderie, and strengthen their sense of belonging. ?? Team RWB App: The Team RWB Member App, also know at their Digital Garrison, offers tailored health and wellness challenges, fitness education, and motivational content. Members can track their progress, earn badges, and connect with others to be inspired by their health journey and inspire others through your own. ?? They overcame obstacles and defied expectations during times when their role in uniform was often questioned. ? #DidYouKnow ? ?? The Military Women’s Memorial has a unique digital registry documenting the service of U.S. military women. Families, friends, and servicewomen can add personal stories, photographs, and details, ensuring their contributions are remembered for generations. ??At the Memorial's opening ceremony in 1997, there was an all-female military aircraft flyover. The event marked a significant moment in the history of women in aviation and acknowledged their contributions. ??? The Memorial is located within the Hemicycle, a semicircular structure designed in 1932 as the ceremonial entrance to Arlington National Cemetery. This structure was repurposed to serve as an entrance honoring women's service. ?? The Hall of Honor showcases a Colorado Yule marble block, the same type used for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, symbolizing shared reverence for service and sacrifice. ??Outside the Memorial, the reflecting pool and fountain are filled with deep symbolism. The black granite cobblestones surrounding the pool symbolize the unity of women's voices throughout history, reflecting their strength and resilience. ?? The Memorial's exhibits honor diverse women. A Sea Change: Women on Combatant Ships covers the struggle for Navy women to serve on combat ships, achieved only in the 1990s. The Color of Freedom showcases the stories of women of color in the military, highlighting their service amid systemic racism. ??
