Exciting glove innovations coming in 2025!
At Youngstown, new glove development has its own timeline. We do not plan to launch ‘X’ number of new styles per year. We are continually developing new styles based on customer input, feedback, needs, wants and endless field-testing. Rarely does something work perfectly after it’s first iteration. The process of improvement takes changing, refining, testing, re-testing, knowledge and experience from everyone involved. The 8th iteration is always better than the 1st iteration. We are really excited about the slate of new gloves we have propped up for 2025. Some component of the glove - be it a material, construction or process - has taken multiple years of effort by everyone involved. We have some really ground breaking styles either in production or baking in the pipeline. The saying is true, ‘It takes a village’ and I am so thankful and humbled by everyone in our ‘village’.

I’ve said it before, glove making is as much of a skill as it is an art. One of our most favorite things to do is to continually improve the fit, function, preformance and safety of our gloves. Here is a glove we have been running for over a decade. It would be easy to ‘set it and forget it’. It is a whole other process to have a critical eye towards what can be done to make it better for the sake of the person wearing it. This is a process where every millimeter matters and is the difference between good and great. Our group is going to work on getting just a little bit better every day in this new year - for the sake of ourselves and for sake of others. Happy New Year!
