At Young’s Seafood, we understand the critical role packaging plays in shaping consumer decisions. Following the Christmas period, shoppers are looking for simple, inspiring meal ideas to ease back into their routines. That’s why we’re inspiring consumers with ideas on the back of pack and across social for how they can use our newly revamped scampi range to make a variety of easy mid-week meals or work from home lunches. This includes: ?? Our air-fried scampi wrap, which couldn’t be easier to whip up on a lunch break. Simply cook in the air fryer and then place in a tortilla wrap with lettuce, avocado and a squeeze of lime for a refreshing but filling lunch. ??An Asian-inspired snack. Before air frying, coat any of our scampi range in sweet and sour sauce and air fry for the most delicious flavour packed sticky scampi. Serve over a portion of rice or noodles. ?? Loaded scampi fries. Since last summer, Young’s has been working with a multi-stakeholder partnership from the Nephrops fishing industry and supply chain, supported by Seafish. ??? ? Together, we have laid out plans to drive improvements in the management of UK Nephrops fisheries, through the continuation of the Nephrops Fishery Improvement Project (FIP).? ? The Nephrops FIP applied to the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Improvement Program in December and is currently under review. An update on the application is expected soon.? ? We wanted to take a moment to wish our customers, suppliers, and colleagues a fantastic festive break, and a very happy New Year. 2024 has been an exciting year of growth at Young’s, and it’s been a landmark year across our products. Here’s some of our highlights: ?? We proudly relaunched our well-loved scampi range with a fresh new look and enhanced recipe. Our scampi has been making waves since then, reaffirming our commitment to quality and taste. ??In Gastro, we introduced our award-winning Taste of Asia range, followed by Taste of India. Taste of Asia has brought exciting, bold flavours to consumers – attracting 50,000 new shoppers to the frozen category. ??Our Chip Shop brand launched its new Jumbo Cod, inspired by the generous portions of one of the nation’s favourite takeaways and offering customers a delicious and affordable ‘fakeaway’. Teresa Cass and Amy Wilkinson received an official letter from Queen Camilla after they raised over £1,100 for the Women's Aid North East Lincolnshire from their charity bake sale. The team at Young’s House have now raised close to £10,000 for a host of worthy causes in 2023 and 2024 – a phenomenal amount ??

Our Scampi Influencer Campaign is in full swing, spreading the word about our revamped range! ?? Partnering with a mix of macro and micro-influencers, we’re inspiring consumers with versatile recipe ideas featuring Youngs’ Popcorn Scampi Bites, Golden Scampi, and Gastro Wholetail and Jumbo Scampi— perfect for family dinners, mid-week treats, or a cosy night in for two. The campaign, running throughout December, also includes targeted video ads that highlight promotions and link directly to retailer sites, encouraging trial and purchase. As consumers seek more globally inspired flavours, we saw an opportunity to bring some excitement to the frozen seafood category. Earlier this year, we launched Young’s Gastro Taste of Asia range, drawing inspiration from the vibrant flavours of Korea, Japan, and Thailand, and the response from consumers has been phenomenal. ?? ? Since its debut in March, Taste of Asia has become the best-performing new range in frozen seafood, attracting over 50,000 new shoppers to the category. ?
