After earning her BBA in International Business and Marketing from Colorado Mesa University, she found her passion for community impact at Hilltop Community Resources, where she now serves as the Development Specialist. In this role, she helps foster a culture of philanthropy that strengthens connections and creates a place where everyone belongs. When she’s not making a difference in the nonprofit world, you can find Alyssa exploring new camping spots, volunteering, or baking sweet treats to share. Morgan Companies, Inc. announced its plans to expand its presence in Mesa County, anticipated to create up to 893 new primary jobs over eight years. “We are thrilled to partner with Grand Junction Economic Partnership and support Morgan Mining’s expansion in Mesa County,” stated OEDIT Executive Director Eve Lieberman. “When advanced manufacturing companies expand in rural Colorado, they strengthen and diversify regional communities and economies. That’s a win for western Colorado and a win for the state of Colorado.” Morgan Mining faced the decision to expand operations in Grand Junction, CO or Knoxville, TN., ultimately choosing Colorado. We had the privilege of bringing local business leaders, Leadership Program participants, and CMU political science students to the heart of Colorado’s policy-making process for our Annual Legislative Days at the Capitol. This trip is all about amplifying Western Slope voices and engaging directly with key decision-makers shaping our state’s future.
