The Seattle chapter of Young Professionals in Transportation (YPT Seattle) was created in June 2013 to enhance professional development among young transportation practitioners and future leaders in Seattle. Our mission is to work to cultivate a community of young professionals passionate about transportation. Our organization embraces interest in transportation topics across all modes and strives to provide a forum for discussions that encompass traditional transportation topics and new transportation innovations that may shape the industry’s future. YPT Seattle is the local chapter of the YPT International non-profit organization that facilitates the growth of new chapters, and guides chapters in promoting their core values; professional development, fellowship, and networking. YPT does not limit who is considered "young." Anybody, regardless of age, gender, sexuality, race, ability, and religion can participate in events and sign up for a membership. The Seattle chapter strives to hold an event every month. We work to reach transportation professionals of all backgrounds and be advocates for transportation issues around the region.
