Ray’s journey of service began at age 11 when he joined the Young Marines and became part of the first graduating class of the Cpl. Nicholas Xiarhos Young Marines in West Yarmouth, MA. Under the mentorship of George Challies, Ray quickly excelled in his leadership, embodying the values of dedication and honor that he carried throughout his life and military service.
