TAKE ACTION: STOP H.R. 9495 Congress is voting **this Wednesday, November 20**, on H.R. 9495—a bill that threatens nonprofits and our democratic rights. **What's at Stake**: While this legislation claims to address terrorism, it **fails to protect the rights of nonprofit organizations that serve our community.** If passed, this bill would give the Treasury Department broad authority to strip nonprofits of their tax-exempt status by labeling them as “terrorist-supporting” organizations—without evidence, transparency, or due process.
