Hey everyone, I’m excited to share my new blog post about 5 Co-operative New Year’s Resolutions for your personal life! As a young cooperator, I believe collaboration isn’t just for the workplace—it’s a mindset that can transform how we support loved ones, tackle challenges, and celebrate wins in our everyday lives. Here are my five co-operative New Year’s resolutions, written from a personal perspective: - Committing to actively listening to friends, family, and colleagues, offering support and genuine feedback when they share their goals or challenges. - Celebrating wins—big and small—together, whether it’s through a heartfelt message, a shared meal, or simply taking the time to acknowledge someone’s accomplishments. - Working on improving my communication skills by practicing active listening, being transparent about my needs, and setting clear expectations in both personal and professional relationships. - Tackling challenges collaboratively by brainstorming solutions with loved ones, sharing responsibilities, and encouraging open dialogue whenever obstacles arise. - Looking for opportunities to give back as a group, whether it’s volunteering, fundraising for a cause, or simply offering to help those in need—because doing it together makes it more meaningful.

Incredibly proud to have debuted my documentary last night at Home in Manchester. It played alongside a collection of films from the Co-op archive, some of which featured in my doc. Thank you so much to The Co-operative Heritage Trust, Co-operatives UK and The Midcounties Co-operative. As we approach the end of Black History Month we wanted to share some of the activities and celebrations our Inclusion Allies and colleagues have been up to throughout October: ? - Decorated the canteen with African and Caribbean flags for representation and appreciation. - Enjoyed a weekly Black cultural meal for colleagues to try new food and bond over Caribbean and African culture. - A Black History Month quiz with a draw to win a Black cultural hamper. - An exciting video with our Black colleagues discussing what Black History Month means to them and why they are proud to be Black. - Guest speaker sessions from inspiring professionals provide insights and tips to our colleagues. - Our Co-op Childcare nurseries have engaged in ‘Black History Month activities’ with our Little Pioneers.? ? As Black History Month comes to a close, these celebrations remind us of the importance of honouring Black heritage and strengthening our commitment to inclusivity within Your Co-op all year round. #blackhistorymonth #blackhistory #bhm
