In our 5th Anniversary year, we wanted to share a story of hope and helpfulness that was only possible by the donations and time that people donated to YASU throughout the years. Please read Krislyn's story to see how many ways YASU (Young Adult Survivors United) can help a young adult who is dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

SHINING STAR AWARD will be presented to: Dr. Mounzer Agha, the director of the Mario Lemieux Center for Blood Cancers at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, and the clinical director of the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation of UPMC.? Dr. Agha was Stephanie's (YASU founder) oncologist when she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2005. His compassionate support for patients over the years and supporting Stephanie over the past 19 years as she survived and built a young adult cancer community are only a couple of many reasons why Dr. Agha deserves this special recognition.?Talk about a full circle moment! ?
