Yonalink is excited to announce the launch of the Israel Clinical Trials Network (ICTN), a groundbreaking national consortium uniting research hospitals and CROs to elevate and transform Israel’s clinical research ecosystem. The ICTN aims to make Israel a premier destination for clinical trials by providing sponsors with access to patients across the country and?EHR-to-EDC streaming from medical centers nationwide. Participating hospitals include Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, Beilinson - Rabin Medical Center, Soroka Medical Center, Assuta Medical Centers, Rambam Health Care Campus, and Hadassah Medical Center. Last week, the U.S. Department of Labor clarified FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) benefits for clinical trial participation—a significant step forward for healthcare equity. We couldn’t be more thrilled! ?? In their statement, the DOL clarified that?clinical trial participation is now officially recognized as "treatment" under FMLA, granting eligible employees job-protected leave for their trial participation. The decision eliminates a major barrier to trial participation, especially for underserved populations, and paves?the way for more inclusive and diverse clinical trials. By recognizing trial participation as a valid form of treatment, the DOL has empowered patients to pursue clinical trials as a care option and to?contribute meaningfully to advances in drug research and development. #ClinicalTrials #HealthcareEquity #FMLA?

Read the day's news headlines A study by EHR2EDC Consortium found it takes 3 minutes to manually transfer and validate just one clinical trial data point from EHR to EDC. With 3.6 million data points in a typical Phase III oncology trial, that’s 180,000 hours of manual work. Think that sounds excessive? We think so too. That’s why Yonalink developed automatic EHR-to-EDC streaming to eliminate busywork and reduce human errors. Real-time data for sponsors, more time for trial staff – maybe even enough time to make lunch.

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting an inspiring meetup at Yonalink’s Tel Aviv office, bringing together medical centers and CROs from across Israel. Yonalink CEO and Co-Founder Iddo Peleg kicked off the morning with a look at Israel’s leadership potential in the clinical trials industry, thanks to the connectivity of medical centers nationwide to Yonalink's global medical center network. Sapir Balas, Yonalink's Customer Success Manager, then presented the data from a recent Yonalink pilot study, and Hilla Erlank, Product Manager, did a brief demo outlining the benefits of EHR-to-EDC data streaming and some of Yonalink's unique features. The meetup concluded with an inspiring presentation by Yuval Kadosh, father of Amit Kadosh, who spoke about the harrowing and ultimately successful journey towards finding a relevant clinical trial and rare bone marrow match for his six year old daughter who battled leukemia. We look forward to many future meetups around the world, as Yonalink's global network continues to expand.
