embedded world Exhibition&Conference 2025 was soooo...oooo...oooo crazy for us! Thanks to everybody who stopped by our booth and made it a true community experience. Hope you all got your Yocti to hug? Megan Knight, PMP did for sure! If you missed out, stay tuned. We've got really exciting things coming up soon. Huge shout out to everybody who rocked out booth, especially Thomas Roos ?? who kicked everybodys ... erm.. parts to make things happen as well as Georgina Ryan-Casling and Josef Holzmayr for providing caffeine ??

The Yocto Project, A Linux Foundation Project转发了
If you look at the The Yocto Project, A Linux Foundation Project repositories, then I am the world worst community manager ever. Why? ?? - I haven't contributed a single line of code in 10+ years of being involved. - I haven't contributed a single line of documentation - I haven't reviewed, commented, signed off a single patch Why am I still proud of my role? ?? ?? When I talk to people, then then tell me that we are the most welcoming and friendly community that they ever been in touch with. Especially non-white, non-male, non-30ish people confirm that they feel very welcome. I call that: "archievement unlocked"! To me it's not important where you are from, what the color of your skin, your belief, your native language or whatever is. If we can have a meaningful conversation, and if you are interested in a productive, forward-looking way of collaboration, you are welcome. Want to get in touch? We're at embedded world Exhibition&Conference next week. The Yocto Project booth is 4-648, Mender by Northern.tech is 4-541. Drop by both to get the latest swag and stickers, say hello, and show your face.??

Finding a strategy to maintain our LTS over four years, which is considerably longer than the kernel LTS period, brings some challenges! See the ongoing discussion at: https://lnkd.in/dKVJ7ndc

We braved the Eurostar and arrived on time for you to visit us at OpenUK State Of Open Con 2025! Visit our table and learn about custom Linux distributions, and why they are a great way to cover your reproducibility and compliance requirements such as CRA, SBOMs, OTA and a lot more.
