Another day another flight. But hey, I remember being grounded during COVID. So today, I’m thankful that we’re so back ??

As we face another storm here in Silicon Valley & the west coast… I’m thankful for the systems and the wonderful first responders that rush in to help in the most difficult times. I’m thankful that we get to build systems to power up people like this. Over the last few years the world has gone through a lot. And we’re all probably a bit overwhelmed ?? AI & tech in general can help lighten some of that burden. As a geek and a builder, this makes me back up, dust myself off and get back into building. ??

It’s a fascinating time to be building in AI. Inspiration for what we build in the future often comes from the past. This book is a classic & if you’re thinking of the future of work, it’s a must read. As you read it you’ll probably get sparks of “oh, this would be very different with an AI” I’ll get back to some book reviews soon, but for now I’m inhaling books so I can be a better builder myself. The future is going to favor polymaths and generalists.

I’m thankful for Air Travel. It’s this magical thing that we often take for granted. Similar to the magical AI we take for granted as just tech or AutoPilot. ?? As someone who travels a lot, I’m still filled with wonder when I’m above the clouds. The geek in me can explain the tech. I was fortunate to have been part of building some of the infrastructure technology for Air Travel. But there’s nothing like experiencing it first hand. It’s the best feeling on earth (or 30k ft above it). To all my fellow techies & AI Geeks, we know, the journey is a huge part of the reward. Wishing everyone safe & wonderful journeys as thanksgiving travel comes up soon ??
