Today we had the privilege of taking part in Impact Chicago '24 - a celebration of the vibrant Chicago startup ecosystem, hosted by Equal Innovation and sponsored by the Farley Center, Northwestern's Querrey InQbation Lab, The Garage at Northwestern University, The Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation, and Polsky Center at the University of Chicago. Over 20 local startups and entrepreneurs were in attendance, along with Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi and Lotika Pai, Chief Small Business Officer for the Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection. It was an inspiring day showcasing the depth and diversity of innovation happening in the Windy City. Farley Director Hayes Ferguson moderated a standout panel discussion featuring Farley alum Sophia Wennstedt of Blip Energy, Jose Javier Fernandez of Azul3D (a Northwestern spinout), John Sexton Abrams of nutrad, and Gary Ong of Celadyne Technologies. We also connected with the team from Yobee , founded by Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine faculty member Ruchi Gupta, MD, MPH.
