Camp Greenville: Creating Connection, Confidence, and Character.

关于我们

Welcome to YMCA Camp Greenville ?? Nestled high atop the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains, YMCA Camp Greenville has been creating life-changing experiences since 1912 as one of the most beloved overnight camps in the Southeast. At Camp Greenville, our mission is simple yet profound: to create connection, confidence, and character. We do this FOR ALL through transformational programs, leadership development, and outdoor adventures. How, you ask? Connections: We make them through purposeful and authentic interactions within our unplugged community. Confidence: We multiply it through a community and program structure that naturally leads to independence, life skills, and resilience with a sense of adventure. Character: We model intentions and actions that benefit others as well as ourselves. Camp Greenville welcomes over 2,500 campers each summer, 320,000 annual visitors to Pretty Place Chapel, and hosts hundreds of events year-round. We also provide enriching programs for families, ensuring our impact extends beyond the summer months. Join us here on LinkedIn to stay connected with our mission and community. We share: ?? Stories of transformation and growth ?? Insights on youth development and leadership ?? Updates on exciting projects, initiatives, and events ?? Recognition of our incredible staff, board members, and donors Whether you're a parent, a past camper, a partner, or a supporter, we invite you to be part of our journey. Together, we’re building a brighter future—one camper, one experience, and one memory at a time.

  • Camp Greenville at CODA 2025: Exploring the Future of Camp Leadership Next week, two of us from?YMCA Camp Greenville?will be heading to?Dallas, TX, for the?Camp Owners and Directors Association (CODA) Conference—a gathering of leaders dedicated to shaping the future of camping. CODA is always a great opportunity to connect, learn, and bring back fresh ideas to strengthen the experience we provide for campers and families. One of the keynote speakers we’re particularly excited about is?David Yager, who will be sharing insights from his book,?10-25: The Future of Youth & Family. This book dives into the trends shaping today’s youth—covering everything from mental health and technology to shifting family dynamics. As camp professionals, understanding these trends is essential to making Camp Greenville not just a place for adventure but also a?supportive space where kids build confidence, resilience, and real-world connections?away from the pressures of everyday life. For?Camp Greenville parents, this conversation matters because it directly impacts how we design our programs, train our staff, and create an environment where kids can?disconnect from screens, reconnect with nature, and develop lifelong skills.?If you’re interested in learning more about?10-25?and how these insights shape our approach to camp, we’d love to chat!
