After an incredible journey leading the YMCA of the Capital Area, our President and CEO, Christian Engle, has accepted a new opportunity as President and CEO of the YMCA of the Suncoast, where he was previously employed and has many friends and colleagues in the area. Over the past 7.5 years, Christian has been an instrumental leader at the YMCA of the Capital Area, driving significant improvements including facility renovations, strengthening our programs and services, increasing public awareness of the mission of the Y and the rebuilding of the AC Lewis YMCA projected to open in 2025. His dedication and vision have left a lasting impacting on our organization and the community we serve. During this transition the Y board and Y staff will continue to uphold the Y’s mission and values. Please join us in thanking Christian for his service to our Y and wishing him well in his new role. He will be greatly missed!
