We had such a great time hosting students from Kent State University College of Architecture and Environmental Design last month! ? From September 15 to 19, the YMCA engaged with these students to bring their design talents to Chicago and envision a vibrant, community-driven space within Assemble Chicago. A highlight of the program was a panel discussion, held at the Crown Family YMCA, which focused on the role of community input in designing safe and functional public spaces. We would like to give a huge thank you to all the panelists Perry Strong at Studio Gang, Julia Mosqueda, Associate AIA, and Maya Bird-Murphy as well as our moderator, Scott Hurst, for their time and insights, in addition to the Obama Foundation for their generosity in hosting a tour for this year’s cohort. ?????? https://ow.ly/BeVF50TCmjn
